Continental to Sponsor MLS

Continental Tire North America will become the official tire sponsor of Major League Soccer in the U.S.

The multiyear deal gives Conti the rights to use MLS league and team logos in its marketing, as well as signage at each U.S. stadium, 30-second ad spots in TV broadcasts and placement on the MLS Web site and in game programs.

CTNA’s parent company, Continental AG, already sponsors FIFA, which hosts soccer’s World Cup tournament. The U.S. sponsorship is a natural continuation of what the tiremaker has already been doing worldwide with the fast-growing sport, CTNA’s CEO, Matthias Schoenberg, told Reuters.
