Fox Deportes Announces Live And Exclusive Spanish-Language Coverage Of The 2010 FIFA Club World Cup Presented By Toyota 2010

WHAT: FOX Deportes holds the exclusive rights as the Spanish-language broadcaster of the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup presented by Toyota 2010. Coverage begins on Wednesday, December 8th at 11:00am ET with the preliminary match between Al Wahda (UAE) and Hekari United (PNG). The contest continues through Saturday, December 18th with the Championship Final airing live on FOX Deportes at 12:00pm ET.

FIFA Club World Cup is the competition between the leading clubs from all six continental confederations. Since 2007, the champions of Oceania have played a qualifying play-off against the champion club of the host country. CF Pachuca is Mexico’s representative and if they win their match on December 10th, they will advance to the semifinal on Tuesday, December 14th against Brazil’s Internacional. FC Barcelona (SPA) were the 2009 champions, after defeating Estudiantes (ARG) with a final score of 2-1.

After hosting the tournament for the first time last year, the UAE return as this year’s host country for the FIFA Club World Cup.
