Mundo Deportes and Mundo Fama Bring Fans the Latest in the World of Latin Entertainment and Sports
MIAMI, Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T announced today the launch of two exclusive Spanish-language TV shows available only to AT&T U-verse® TV customers. The new shows, Mundo Deportes Presented by AT&T (Mundo Deportes) and Mundo Fama Presented by AT&T (Mundo Fama), will be available on U-verse Free On Demand En Espanol. Mundo Fama is a weekly studio show offering fans an all-access look from the best in the world of Latin entertainment — delivering the hottest interviews, news and behind-the-scenes action. Mundo Deportes is a weekly program showcasing all things sports, where fans can find out about their favorite Hispanic athletes and teams, and catch exclusive interviews and events, not available anywhere else.

Mundo Fama, co-hosted by Kenya Hijuelos and Enrique Divine, is an in-depth entertainment news show bringing fans the latest in Hispanic entertainment including concerts, new releases, behind-the-scenes exclusives, fan events, music videos and more. The show's co-host Kenya Hijuelos started her career in broadcasting at the age of 11, when she won first place in Mexico's popular children's talent show "Jugemos a Cantar." In 2000, Hijuelos moved to the U.S. where she continues to work in broadcasting. Co-host Enrique Divine also began his broadcasting career at a young age, singing and performing as a child, and joining Venezuela's pop group Chevere in his teenage years. Most recently, Divine was part of the talented cast of Telemundo's soap opera "Dame Chocolate."
Mundo Deportes is a show about the fans, for the fans and from the fans. The weekly show covers the most interesting stories in the world of sports from a fan's perspective. As opposed to other sports shows that focus primarily on statistics and league standings, Mundo Deportes focuses on the exciting atmosphere at the games, the fans, cheerleaders, players and trainers. The show touches on stories from the world of boxing, soccer, baseball, American football and basketball, among others. Mundo Deportes is co-hosted by Alessandra Villegas and Alejandra Oraa. Villegas, a former Miss Venezuela for Venevision, started her broadcasting career at age 12 as a children's radio host in her native Venezuela. Currently, she also serves as the host of "Planeta Feroz" on Vme and "Invasion Casera" on Telemundo. Caracas-born Oraa started her broadcasting career in 2006 as a correspondent for TV Azteca. Recently, she joined Mega TV as a writer and news reporter.
